A polished concrete floor is the quietest luxury in a home — a single, uninterrupted plane of stone and light. We grind and hone interior floors, stair treads and feature surfaces to a satin sheen, detailed to meet joinery, glass and landscape without a seam.

The quotation process
Every commission follows the same five steps — from the first site walk to the final handover. Nothing is left to the day of the pour.
Site discussion
We assess the slab, the build stage, the light and the intended use — residential interiors, commercial floors or feature surfaces — and discuss aggregate exposure and sheen before specifying.
Measure & design
Grind depth, aggregate exposure, sheen level and joint layout are documented against joinery, glazing and door thresholds. Transitions to other floor finishes are resolved before grinding begins.
Preparation
The slab is cured sufficiently, protected from trade damage, and masked where required. Densifier and grouting are planned to suit the aggregate and the desired finish.
Pour & finish
Progressive diamond grinding exposes the aggregate to the agreed level, then honing and polishing bring the floor to a satin sheen. Stain protection and sealing are applied as the final pass.
Handover
The floor is walked with you, cleaned and sealed, with maintenance guidance for the first months and beyond. We remain contactable for any questions.
A considered palette.
Polished concrete is specified, not left to the supplier's default. Aggregate exposure ranges from a cream finish — minimal stone, mostly paste — to a full-stone reveal where the matrix is ground away to expose the coarse aggregate. Sheen is specified from matte through satin to semi-gloss; we recommend a satin sheen for residential interiors, as it flatters natural light and furniture without the maintenance of a high-gloss surface. For commercial floors, densification and a harder seal are specified to suit the traffic.
Built for the site.
A polished concrete floor is permanent — the grind depth and aggregate exposure cannot be revisited. We specify the finish against the slab design, the light and the intended use before the pour, not after. For new builds, we coordinate with the builder and architect on joint layout, door thresholds and transitions to other floor finishes so the polished plane reads as one continuous surface. For renovations, we assess the existing slab for cracks, cover and level — existing slabs can be ground and polished or overlaid depending on condition, which we determine at the site discussion. The slab must be protected from trade damage between pour and polish; we advise on protection and scheduling with your builder so the surface is pristine when grinding begins.
